About Us

Founded in October 2007 by Rosalynd Hicks, M.D., TWCW is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) health education/resource/referral organization for women in the Los Angeles San Fernando Valley.

We are a diverse and high-quality group of experienced and licensed/certified healthcare professionals and related agencies, who have come together to care for local women, age 18+, whose unique healthcare and health-related needs are unmet in today’s hurried healthcare system.

We understand that, as adult women juggle many roles, responsibilities, and challenges associated with their particular season of life, there is a growing demand for a comprehensive and personalized approach to helping women achieve and maintain a balanced life. We also understand that finding fully supportive healthcare and health-related resources for women in the San Fernando Valley is often very difficult, and, when found, difficult to obtain.

Currently structured as an organization without walls, we work collaboratively with a community-wide network of compassionate caregivers, including physicians and health/wellness-related specialists as well as local advocates and supporters of women’s health. We focus our community-based services and activities on: 1) identifying local women who are in need of our services; 2) connecting our clients to our unique network of practitioners, advocates, and agencies; and 3) ensuring that each client receives the individualized health education she needs to achieve and maintain optimal health and wellness.

As we grow and develop as an organization, seeking collaborative relationships with like-minded San Fernando Valley practitioners and advocates in the field of women’s health, we look forward to assisting many women with the education/support/resources needed to reach their goals of achieving optimally healthy and balanced lives.
